Install types

Different install and cables and how they are used on the installs

Basic:

Basic cables are 1 cord and will use only 2 wires. A hot wire (red) that connects to a 12v constant and a ground wire (black) that would need to be grounded.

Ideal locations to hide this device is under a power seat, under the dash, near steering column, near gage clusters.

Troubleshoot: Pull out of the garage and confirm the device is not under any direct metal. Check the fuse on the in-line harness is good, check the power cable is 12v constant while vehicle is off and keys are out of the ignition, confirm device is firmly clicked in, check that ground connection is clean.

Basic Install Guide

OBD:

The OBD cable is 1 cord that allows you to replace the OBD connector in the vehicle with ours. It cannot be scanned and comes with a bracket to help the connector stay in place, with another wire branching off to connect to the device.

Ideal locations to hide is under the dashboard within range of the OBD connectors.

Troubleshoot:

Pull out of the garage and confirm the device is not under any direct metal. Check the fuse for the OBD port is good and the OBD port is getting constant power without the vehicle powered on and keys out of the ignition. Check the fuse for the inline harness is good. 

Please note: Some vehicles do not have OBD ports that are constantly powered. Please refer to the user manual for confirmation.

OBD Install Guide

Starter Interrupt:

Starter Interrupt is recommended to have a seasoned installer complete the install. This can take 45 minutes for the install to happen, and you should refer to the user manual for any cables and what they look like.

Starter interrupt comes with 2 cords, the basic cable as well as a relay. On the basic cable you will use the red, black, green, and white cables, on the relay you will use the black, blue, red, and white. Please refer to the install guide for directions on installing the starter interrupt. 

Ideal locations to hide this device under the dash, near steering column, near gage clusters.

Troubleshoot:

Pull out of the garage and confirm the device is not under any direct metal.

Starter Interrupt Install Guide

Wireless:

The wireless device does not come with any cables and cannot be recharged, once the device is dead you will need to replace it. You will activate the device by pressing the button on the top of the device, lights will blink on the front for up to 15 minutes before stopping confirming that a connection was made.

Ideal locations to hide is under a seat, under the dash, near steering column, near gage clusters, in the trunk.

Please note: Wireless devices are not weatherproof and should not be hidden outside the vehicle exposed to elements.

Troubleshoot:

Pull out of the garage and confirm the device is not under any direct metal. Check that the device has been activated out of the shipping mode. Press the button on the top of the device to wake it up. Go for a short drive to trigger trip events.
